NORTH MARMARA MOTORWAY
The Contract was signed between Avrupa Otoyolu Yatirim ve Isletme A.S., the Authorised Company established by/between awarded contractors, and GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF HIGHWAYS on 01.07.2017 and the site handover was made on 11.07.2016 and the works were started.
In the general framework of the project with a length of 88 Km, 56 million m3 excavation and 27 million m3 filling work will be carried out. Also, throughout the route, 3 tube tunnels, 9 viaducts, 34 bridges and other engineering works on versatile sizes and numbers are available. The total length of the tunnels, as left and right tubes, reaches up to 11,000 m and the length of the viaduct on both directions is about 8,000 m.
The traffic of Istanbul and Marmara will be integrated with transit connection through the project, and it will make a great contribution to the export capacity of Turkey.
In this grand motorway project, Tur Insaat has successfully completed excavation on all types and classes of ground, cutting and side borrow-cutting on all types and classes of ground and utilisation, blasting, loading, transportation and laying, compression and construction of engineering structures.
